About “Save Link to Google Drive”

What is It?

It is an option of a Chrome extension called “Save to Google Drive”. You would find it useful when you want to save a link - your natural instinct is to save the link to the hard drive or some permanent storage, but this option gives you that orderliness where you can save link directly to Google Drive.

How to Save a Link in Google Drive?

Step 1: Add Save to Google Drive extension from Chrome Web Store.
Step 2: Authorize the extension access to your Google Drive.
Step 3: Right click “Save Link to Google Drive” selection when you want to save the address link while surfing the Internet.

Then authorize your Google Drive account by clicking the “Add Google Drive Account” button. Follow the instructions to grant MultCloud access to the account you are connecting to.

Step 3. Upload URL

After you add Google Drive account, you can choose “Google Drive” on the left drive list. Click “Upload” and click on “Upload URL” button in the pop-out window.

Step 4. Add URL

In next window, click “Add URL” to add the link you want to save and name it. Then click “OK”.

Note: The extension name of the file should be the same as the original one, or the file will fail to be opened correctly.

The upload process can be finished within a second, and then you can continue to add link to Google Drive.
